Apple has bought its first video game studio! The company says this will help make Arcade even better, giving players a great gaming experience.

Apple has bought RAC7, a small video game developer. They are known for Sneaky Sasquatch, a hit on Apple Arcade. This is Apple’s first time buying a game studio.

Apple is really interested in RAC7’s work. The studio made indie games like Dark Echo and Splitter Critters. In 2019, they released Sneaky Sasquatch, which was a big hit.

The game has gotten updates since it came out. Now, RAC7 will work with Apple as part of the team. Apple promises to keep making great games for Apple Arcade.

An Apple spokesperson told Digital Trends: “We love Sneaky Sasquatch and are excited that the 2-person RAC7 team has joined Apple to continue their work on it with us. We will continue to deliver a great experience for Apple Arcade players with hundreds of games from many of the best game developers in the world.”

Apple bought RAC7 for a special reason, not as part of a big gaming plan. They still want to work with many different studios. This way, they can keep making games for Apple Arcade.

The deal might seem surprising to some, but it fits with Apple Arcade’s model. Apple Arcade has always worked with indie developers like RAC7. They release new games every month.

Recently, they added new games like Katamari Damacy and a sequel to Space Invaders. Gears & Goo is also available for Apple Vision Pro. This shows Apple’s support for its gaming service.
